Off to Glen Allen

Robert - Monday, June 14

We were back on the road today. This time it was to go to Glen Allen. Of all of the campgrounds we have stayed in, the one in Glen Allen is one of the top two or three.
Here are a couple of shots of our site.

And here are a couple of shots from inside. They are not meant to be great shots but rather to try to show some of the reasons we like this campground. First out the back window and then the side.

From Tok, the Tok Cutoff runs southwest to Glen Allen. Two years ago we didn’t remember the road being so rough but today it was. Maybe it was just the result of being two years older. Actually, the road wasn’t so much rough as it was bouncy. While the surface was mostly smooth, the dips made it feel like riding on a circus ride.
The weather was absolutely beautiful. We had blue skies with puffy clouds, little wind, lost of sunshine, and temperatures around 70. What’s not to like about that?
After we got here, we built a campfire and sat around it.
