Off to Fort Nelson

Robert - Monday, May 24
Happy Victoria Day! Today was a travel day. When we arrived at the campground, we had to fill our fresh water tank as there were no water hook-ups at the sites. The water was slightly off-color and while it was probably fine, we all decided that we wouldn’t drink it. Just to be safe, we added Clorox to the fresh water tank today and ran the water with Clorox through all of the water lines. The next stop was Fort Nelson, about 120 miles further up the highway. After driving about 60 miles, we opened up the fresh water tank and drained the water as we drove. When we got to the campground in Fort Nelson, we filled the fresh water tank and ran the water through all of the water lines. We also drained the hot water tank.
As the drive was short (a little over 2 hours), we did laundry after we got here. In Fort Nelson we have both cell phone service and the campground has WiFi. We leave here tomorrow and once again we will a black hole of communications. After dinner in town, we all retired to our computers to catch up on email and blogs.
