Can You Identify This?

Robert - Saturday, May 29
Ok Sports Fans! It’s time for the Guessing game. Here is the picture. You guess what it is.
nail
If you guessed a 3 ½ inch nail, you are close but not close enough.
If you guessed a 3 ½ inch nail that was lying somewhere on the streets of Watson Lake, you are getting closer.
If you guessed a 3 ½ inch nail that was lying somewhere on the streets of Watson Lake AND that found a way to puncture a tire on Snowflake, you Win!
Every morning when we are going to tow somewhere, I check the tire pressure. Snowflake has six tires and the trailer has four. They way I do it is with a system called “PressurePro.” On each valve stem is a valve cap about the size of gum drop. It sends a signal with the tire pressure to a receiver in the truck. You can read the individual pressure in each tire and it also sounds an alarm if the pressure is too low or too high in any tire. I can plug the receiver in the cigarette lighter and within a few minutes I know the pressures. This morning it sounded an alarm for one of the tires on Snowflake. I normally have 80 psi in each tire and this morning one of the rear duals was reading 16 psi. Just to be sure I checked the pressure with a tire gauge and sure enough it was 16 psi. I told Leslie and headed for the local tire shop. When I got there the door was open but the guy inside said they were closed. He did tell me that there was another tire shop about three miles down the road. There I was told they would look at it in about an hour. I returned to the campground with the news that we would have a late start this morning.
Stan and I returned to the tire shop and they proceeded to jack up the truck and remove the tire. That is when they found the nail. Within an hour the tire was repaired and returned to the truck. I expected the bill to be something like $80 as one guy worked for about a hour on it. I was shocked when they told me $21!
So it was back to the campground and soon we were on our way. About 4:30 we got to Teslin, YT for the night. The campground is fine for an over night stop and tomorrow we are off to Whitehorse, YT.
