Big, Bug, Go Away!

Robert, Friday, September 26

I went to the campground office and got a propane tank filled and I paid the extra charge to wash the rig at our campsite. Most campgrounds just prohibit washing at the site but here you pay an extra fee and have at it. The bugs on the nose came off pretty easy. I think the reason is the wax that we put on when we washed it the last time. They did take some serious scrubbing but in the end we got them all off, even those that we didn’t the last time. To get to the bugs on the nose, we back the truck up so that we can stand in the bed and scrub away. As we were both scrubbing, a neighbor came over and said we could borrow his six-foot ladder. We took him up on his offer. We have things to wash the trailer that have long poles so we can reach the side but the one thing that we couldn’t get are the rubber seals, They were filthy but by standing on the ladder I could reach them. After we finished the trailer, we went after the truck. Finally after 6 ½ hours, we finished and so were we. We went back inside our now sparkling trailer and collapsed. After watching the debate between Obama and McCain, I went back out to get fuel as we are hitting the road tomorrow. I also got some replacement light bulbs for a couple of lights in the trailer. By the time I got back to the trailer, we were both too tired to do much for dinner so we ate some cheese, crackers, and sausage and then drug our tired bodies off to bed.
