Robert, Saturday, August 30
We set out to scout laundromats today. The first one was close to the university and it was very crowded. The second one was almost deserted. Actually, beside us, there was the manager. The manager told Leslie that he had just opened up and people had not discovered this laundry yet. We got the laundry without waiting for anything other than for it to finish. We also bought a thermometer for the freezer. We have an alarm that sounds when the temperature rises to 15 degrees or higher. We bought a regular indoor-outdoor thermometer that uses a wire to the outside rather than a wireless one. As the freezer has a metal case, I don’t think that a wireless one would work. Before we set out, we defrosted and marinated a flank steak. When we got back to the trailer, I grilled it outside while Leslie fixed stuffed baked potatoes inside. It was great. Then we spent a little time on the internet and I turned in.
