Our site is so pretty along the river that we hung around camp most of the day. It’s not raining! This is wonderful. We wanted to stop by the county farmer’s market in the afternoon.
This was the largest farmer’s market we’ve seen. There were many booths selling crafts and vegetables. The vegetables were very pricy. 1/2 cup of fresh peas was $2.00. Tomatoes were $5.00/lb.
And even some furs. This beaver pelt was priced at $80. We didn’t buy anything.
We’d avoided the laundry chore for two weeks so today was the day to catch up. Luckily we found a new laundromat with no customers except us. That made the process pretty quick since we didn’t have to wait for any machines.
Diesel is down to $4.89 in Fairbanks.
