Robert - You may have noticed the lack of pictures in my posts. Leslie showed me how she posts pictures and I have tried doing exactly the same procedure. It has worked a couple of times and failed totally the rest of the time. I have had her looking over my shoulder to be sure I was doing it right. The result has continued to fail. Eventually I will come up with someway to get pictures to post. In the meantime, it’s going to be pure text.
This was a travel day. Our next destination was Chetwynd, BC. Our normal time to hit the road is 10:00 a.m. I got hooked up and discovered that the trailer brakes were not working. Stan and I exhausted all of our ideas of how to fix the problem so after a hour we decided to set out and to be super cautious. There was no way to get any work on the brakes until Monday morning at the earliest.
On the way, we spotted several black bears. First, Leslie and Connie both saw a bear off to the side in a field. Then we all saw a bear along side the road as we approached. This one headed into the trees as we approached. Then Stan and Connie saw a sow and three cubs in a field. Fortunately the road to Chetwynd didn’t have a lot of traffic and it didn’t have a lot of steep hills so the lack of trailer brakes wasn’t a problem.
Chetwynd’s claim to fame is chainsaw wood carvings. We went out to get pizza for dinner and then drove around looking at many of these. They are located throughout the town in medians and alongside the edge of the road. There must be at least a hundred of them. (This sure would be a great place for a picture wouldn’t it?)

But we're sure enjoying your blog! Happy travels & thanks for sharing your days with us. :-)
