On to Fairbanks

Robert, Thursday, August 28

Today we drove to Fairbanks. The campground here is right on the banks of the Chena River. Our site is about 100 feet from the river. It is a very pretty campground. We got here and set up. After checking out the WiFi, we went to FredMeyer to get groceries. The store is enormous and the checkout clerk told us it is the largest FredMeyer store. I can believe it. We got some groceries and went back to the trailer. A few sites away from us there were a bunch of ducks panhandling for food. They probably live in the river and this is their turf. We had dinner and I turned in.

This shows where we were in Denali Nat'l Park and now in Fairbanks. The two are about 110 miles apart.
